Transit City will sit in the centre of the new transit hub for the Vaughan area.  Cleverly designed layouts with a Buca-brand 5-star restaurant and lobby within the building, Transit City will have the new TTC Subway station (to be completed by end of 2017) at its front doors and steps to a transit terminal accessible to York's various transit services.

Transit City will be part of a new community built by Smart Reit, the company responsible for bringing big-ticket retail such as Wal-Mart to Canada.

Transit City will be the first project of many within this new community located close to Hwy 400, Hwy 401 and Hwy 7.

Fun facts from the developer:

- Transit City is steps away from the subway entrance and far closer than any other residential building in the area

- From morning until night, residents will be able to experience BUCA in their lobby; a latte and pastry in the morning, a quick bite during the day or a drink at night are all on the menu for residents.

- YMCA is breaking ground immediately next door to Transit City and the subway, and will provide residents with access to a new 100,000 square foot flagship facility featuring child care, fitness and aquatic facilities plus a 20,000 square foot City of Vaughan library and studio space. Transit City has partnered with the YMCA to offer each suite a membership that will allow them to have full access to the fitness and lifestyle amenities at their doorstep.

- DEVELOPING THE TALLEST RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IN THE YORK REGION – Transit City will rise 55-stories and contain 553 units
